Existing Certifications in Europe
With the support of Teamwork IMS, Westcon-Comstor’s Swindon (UK) and Houten (Netherlands) operations have implemented and maintained an integrated environmental, information security and supply chain security management system alongside their existing quality management system.
New Certifications for APAC
To further support Westcon-Comstor’s ESG commitments and goals, the business wished to expand the scope of its ISO certifications with the implementation of an integrated quality and environmental management system for its APAC region operations located in NSW Australia, Auckland New Zealand, and Singapore.
Working together with Teamwork IMS, Westcon-Comstor successfully implemented the ISO certification project and were awarded ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification by LRQA in Dec 2023 for their APAC operations at those locations covering ‘Distribution of IT related products including product staging, bespoke configuration, customer stock holding and reverse logistics solutions’.
How have they benefitted?
In addition to demonstrating their compliance with international best practice a major benefit of the implementation for Westcon-Comstor has been to bring the diversely located APAC teams in much closer contact, driving the certification, working to the same systems, and using the knowledge held within the teams to share across the region, developing best practice.
Project Challenges
One of the major challenges and vital to certification was to establish and maintain legal registers for each of the locations and Teamwork IMS were able to propose a solution that helped Westcon-Comstor to navigate the complex landscape of compliance across the APAC region.
