Our Sustainability Assessment Support process

Initial Assessment

We will conduct an evaluation of your current sustainability practices aligned to the EcoVadis themes. This involves gathering documented evidence on the four EcoVadis areas; Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement and any existing quantitative and qualitative KPI’s.

We will analyse the results of the assessment to identify strengths and areas for improvement aligned to the EcoVadis themes. Using the methodology provided by EcoVadis we can understand where improvements can be made on either your existing scorecard or to maximise your scoring for your first assessment.

Assessment

We can guide you through your EcoVadis assessment, providing advice on the documentation requirements and helping you to maximise or improve your sustainability scorecard (Companies will need to register directly with EcoVadis to access your bespoke assessment). Once you have completed your assessment you will be issued with an EcoVadis Sustainability Scorecard, Assessment Report and EcoVadis Medal (where applicable) to communicate your achievements to stakeholders.

How does the Teamwork Sustainability Assessment align with EcoVadis?

Teamwork have aligned our sustainability assessment with the EcoVadis assessment questionnaire themes. The assessment covers 21 sustainability criteria, grouped into four themes of EcoVadis, Environmental Impact, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics & Sustainable Procurement. These criteria are based on international Standards such as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000.

What evidence and documentation will be required for the Sustainability assessment?

Teamwork will look for evidence aligned to the EcoVadis best practice supporting evidence and documentation. This will be document-based, and documents will be reviewed to see how you manage sustainability, policies and organisational accountability including measuring and reporting your results.

How does the EcoVadis assessment work?

The EcoVadis assessment process is broken down into the following stages:

Registration – this includes your company’s information, size, scope and industry. This allows EcoVadis to customise the questionnaire and subscription. If your company has been invited by a partner to complete an assessment you will follow the email invitation.
Questionnaire – once EcoVadis have completed your registration, you will be notified on email with access to the EcoVadis platform. This is where you can choose your subscription plan and start completing your company’s sustainability questionnaire. You will have a deadline for submission of your assessment which will be detailed on your platform.
Analysis – EcoVadis sustainability analysts then collect sustainability-related news about your company from publicly available sources and assess your answers and supporting documents.
Results – You will receive notification that your scorecard is available in the EcoVadis platform. The results will take 6-8 weeks to score. These are valid for 12 months and can be shared with stakeholders outside of the platform. If you were requested to complete the assessment by a partner, they will automatically be sent your scorecard.

Is the EcoVadis Sustainability assessment questionnaire the same for all companies?

The EcoVadis Sustainability assessment questionnaire is not the same for all companies. A custom sustainability assessment questionnaire specific to your location, size and industry will be issued by EcoVadis upon subscription, this ensures the assessment is relevant to your company’s sustainability risks and opportunities.

What is the EcoVadis score, medals and badges?

The EcoVadis score (0-100) reflects the quality of a Company’s sustainability management system at the time of the assessment. EcoVadis Medals and Badges recognise eligible companies that have completed the EcoVadis assessment process and demonstrated a relatively strong management system that addresses sustainability criteria, as outlined in the EcoVadis methodology. The eligibility criteria for medals and badges are reviewed periodically

A Company is not eligible for a medal if the theme score is below 30 in any of the four themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
